The FIA/UEM European Drag Racing Championships comprise eight classes of both cars and bikes, packing a real punch as they campaign across Europe with over a hundred teams. The stars of the show are the long and low "Top Fuel" Dragsters covering the ¼ mile dragstrip in around four seconds at over 300mph! "From a standing start, an 8000bhp Top Fuel Dragster accelerates from 0-100mph in about 0.9 seconds, faster than a fighter jet or a Formula One race car". Santa Pod Raceway is proud to host both the first and final rounds of the European Championship's four days of non-stop racing action, with over twenty classes of cars and bikes including a packed programme of off track entertainment in the Live Action Arena, with Monster Trucks, stunts and displays, traders, side-shows, kids entertainment (kids go free!), catering, licensed bars and camping for weekenders.
