JET REACTION (World Two Wheeled Land Speed Record Challenger)
Jet Reaction's motorcycle land speed challenge will provide exciting opportunities for sponsors to be associated with a credible outright world speed record attempt. In 1999, Richard Brown rode his rocket-powered Gillette Mach 3 Challenger, which he also designed and built, on the Bonneville Salt Flats to an officially timed one way speed of 332.877 mph, peaking at 365 mph. Unable to make a return run to secure the outright record due to technical issues relating to the poor course conditions, Richard at least had the satisfaction of knowing that he had exceeded the highest speed previously seen for a two-wheeled vehicle and, in fact, it was to be another seven years before anyone went faster still. Using the experience gained from the Gillette Mach 3 Challenger, Richard has now engineered another thrust powered bike called Jet Reaction, which has been able to run as both a two- or three-wheeler for testing in the UK, prior to its attempt on the Outright World Two Wheel Land Speed Record, currently 376.363 mph. This innovative vehicle is powered by a highly modified gas turbine, with bespoke afterburner. "Whether you want the build-up and spectacle of a world class event or to share the adventure and technological values, Jet Reaction can make a major contribution to your company's image and media profile. The project will be carefully integrated with traditional and social media to help connect with the widest possible audience. As an example, Richard's last world record attempt not only attracted widely viewed TV documentaries broadcast by the BBC and Discovery Channel but also over half a million viewings of its video clips on YouTube. Although we have now completed the design and build stages, we have held back on the publication of the project so we can have the maximum flexibility to conceive and tailor sponsor packages". KAWASAKI GRP RACING TEAM
Tony Rogers is looking for sponsorship. "I am looking either for one company to totally sponsor me or smaller companies to contribute in any way they can, with either a money input or products. A sponsor would have stickers on my bike and on my van. All races are recorded and some are televised on Motors TV, with names included in the programme. My name would be mentioned by the race commentator whilst I am riding around the track and all races are viewable on the Bemsee website. There are regular write-ups in the BSN newspaper and free tickets for race days. We also have our own web page, which would include my sponsor listings and company links. I am willing to do any photoshoots or promotions and publicity track days for any corporate customers. I can be contacted on 01305 769450 or mobile 07816 272196". Contact: Tony Rogers. WORTHY EVENTS LTD.
Worthy Events has recently been asked by Orange County Choppers to bring their OCC Live show to the UK. The OCC Live show has never toured outside the US and brings a new format to the UK stage. The event consists of Paul SR (Company Director) having a biker build off with his son Paul JR (Master Fabricator) on stage. The audience is able to participate by selecting the parts from two large screens. The bike is then built on stage and the entire bike building process is displayed to the audience. The OCC Live show is compèred by Mikey, who is the comical son of Paul SR. The show is also backed by the OCC Band, who have toured extensively across the US, Australia, Brazil and Canada and have opened for such big names as Lynyrd Skynyrd, POD and Candlebox. In the coming months the marketing plan will start to evolve and this involves both UK and US marketing. OCC has a TV show on the Discovery Channel entitled American Chopper and Discovery will be advertising both in the UK and US. Discovery has also been asked to film live on tour. Over 500,000 promotional materials will be sent out to the venue areas, which include Manchester, Liverpool, London, Sheffield, Belfast, Dublin, Scotland, Nottingham and Newcastle, along with radio advertisements in each area. The marketing objectives are set to be big and to bring extensive brand awareness to both the sponsor and the event. "Many sponsorship packages are available from billboard sponsorship up to full event sponsorship - so we will be able to tailor a package to your company needs. Please contact Matthew Worthington for more information and he will be more than happy to discuss all your requirements". Contact: Matthew Worthington. Tel.: 01253 352634. SMC/002 RAMSGATE SPRINT REVIVAL
The Ramsgate Sprint was originally run between 1956 and 1968, and was organised by The Sunbeam Owners Club. "Last year, with the assistance of the Invicta Bike Club and The East Kent Classic MCC, we revived an event on Ramsgate prom that was last held in 1968. To celebrate the original event, and from a safety point of view, we restricted applications to race to machines from 1972 and earlier. We wanted it to be free to the public, and in order to create a family weekend we organised a funfair, multiple live bands and an array of caterers, as well as a big static display of classic machines. The East Kent Classic club's membership worked extremely hard to publicise the event, both through social media and at other similar events throughout Kent. We secured multiple time world champion, from the era, Jim Redman, as our guest of honour, but we had no idea if anyone would actually show up. However, to our surprise, the weekend was a massive success and was attended by huge numbers of people! Feedback was totally fantastic. All reports in the media were of a resounding success. We have overcome serious difficulties in securing the venue for the same weekend again this year, and in order to make it even bigger and better and secure it for future years we are looking for a main sponsor to add their name to what promises to become a seriously huge event".
