MNM/PL001 | ACT AGAINST BULLYING: CYBERKIND CAMPAIGN CyberKind is a campaign by Act Against Bullying, the high profile UK charity helping parents and children deal with school bullying. With the increase in young people using social networking sites on a daily basis and as their major source of communication, the aim of this new initiative is to counteract and reverse the growing trend of cyber bullying - on the increase and now responsible for many teen suicides - by making a conscious effort to reward 'niceness on the net'. It is motivated by the charity's belief that the active promotion of good internet manners may significantly reduce the misery that is suffered by so many children, sometimes over meaningless comments and thoughtless behaviour. It may even save lives. They are looking for a major sponsor for the campaign to invest around £10,000. This would buy the company their logo on the charity's website, and on all printed and e-mailed public relations material connected with this particular campaign, which they expect to get extensive media coverage. In addition, the sponsor's logo will be included in the campaign posters which have been designed by book illustrator Katy Dynes and they would receive verbal acknowledgement and tickets to the launch party, which is to be held at the House of Lords on November 11th, as well as public relations opportunities at a public event to be held in central London on the charity's Cool to be Kind Day on November 18th, and any other 'spin offs', such as panel debate involvement, etc. on this subject. Act Against Bullying Founder Director Louise Burfitt-Dons is a well known figure in the humanitarian campaigning field and regularly appears on national TV and radio programmes. As a motivational speaker, the ethos of the organisation she founded is a combination of the inspirational and practical and there is a wealth of information and advice for young people as well as parents and social workers on the website at www.actagainstbullying.org (link below). She writes extensively for the media on bullying issues, has led the field in identifying modern issues such as ECD and tribalism and has been a speaker at national conferences and seminars. Act Against Bullying was shortlisted for the Guardian Charity Award 2008. Act Against Bullying is a 'celebrity favourite' and has held many prestigious and star-studded events. For example, currently popular Britain's Got Talent finalists Strike are raising the profile of AAB as they are touring schools. The charity is active on YouTube and Twitter and has a growing following of fans worldwide who enjoy the honest apolitical approach to this complex social problem, as well as their catchy campaigns such as Cool to be Kind Day. They are also the UK representative of the World Kindness Movement. Contact: Louise Burfitt-Dons, Director. Address: 68 Duke Road, London W4 2DE. Tel.: 0845 230 2560. Fax: 0208 995 9500. MNM/PL003 | BOYS BY GIRLS Launched in 2011, Boys by Girls is a collaborative project showcasing how female artists view and capture the male, presented in beautiful images online and in print. Boys by Girls celebrates the beauty of the male through exclusive photographic editorials, features, model profiles and model stories, and is aimed at anyone passionate about the male, menswear, models, photography and male beauty. Ever since its establishment, Boys by Girls not only showcases beautiful images by well-established female photographers, but also features work of young photographers, stylists and fashion writers, offering female talents opportunities to be noticed in the fashion world. It is the first publication to focus on the male exclusively in the perspective of the female. "Our content explores fashion and photography in a more intimate form, also revealing models' characters and personalities - an aspect which is often lost in the fashion photography. With our unique perspective and concept, Boys by Girls has already gained a wide audience online and we have recently (December 2012) released our fourth bookazine and first newsstand issue, which is being distributed globally by Pineapple Media Ltd and hit retailers such as Selfridges and Harrods in London, etc. Each issue has its own theme and central story which is then explored through editorials, portraiture, fashion, interviews and articles involving the boys, their interests, experiences, life and loves. The fourth issue, A Place Called Youth, explores the magic of youth, innocence and the mysterious transition between a boy and a man. Since its start the project has steadily been expanding on a daily basis and is now looking for sponsors and advertising partners to help continue to build the brand". MNM/PL011 | LEISURE LEAGUES Leisure Leagues is Europe's largest and longest established small sided (5- and 6-a-side) football leagues organiser. It has around 3,000 teams participating weekly (each team can have up to nine in their squad). This means up to 27,000 players playing in its leagues nationwide each week. 91% of these are males aged between 18 and 39. Targeted marketing can be achieved through a variety of sponsorship opportunities. No other small sided leagues operator has Leisure Leagues' reach. It operates within over 150 partner sports facilities across the UK, many being the prime sports facility in the area. Its dedicated media team ensures local media coverage nationwide, with access to approximately 19 million readers weekly. The prolific work they carry out has contributed to positioning Leisure Leagues high up the Google rankings (boasting a position fourth worldwide on just the word 'leisure') - this could enable potential sponsors to 'piggy-back' their way up the Google rankings through sponsorship of its leagues and their associated inclusion in all press releases. The Leisure Leagues website receives around 100,000 'sticky' hits every month, and growing ... It supplies - or gives free to new teams - approximately 10,000 football kits annually; these could feature a sponsor company's logo. The sponsor's logo could also feature on every one of the 8,000 soccer balls Leisure Leagues gets through each year. Every year it awards around 15,000 trophies - the sponsor's company logo could be prominently embossed on the front of each one. Leisure Leagues distributes up to 3,000 full colour brochures, produced in-house, containing league information and editorial content. Sponsorship of this would see the sponsor's message reach thousands of people weekly and could be used for coupon or web offer campaigns, etc. Other sponsorship opportunities include referee's clothing, vehicle livery, and the National Tournament. "All of these opportunities offer sponsors excellent ROI with a great opportunity to reach a highly desirable database of gender and age specific clients. Leisure Leagues is the only national small-sided league provider which is committed to putting all of its surplus profits towards charitable causes such as Cancer Research and the Dog's Trust. We are based in the Midlands and would be happy to meet with potential sponsors to discuss the possibilities. For an initial informal chat, please contact Andy Taylor, Business Development Manager". MNM/PL016 | THE OFFICIAL MONSTER RAVING LOONY PARTY OpporLoonity for Sponsor to go 'Monster!'. The Official Monster Raving Loony Party is seeking financial support to nominate as many candidates as possible in the upcoming General Election in May 2015. "A sponsorship liaison with the Loony Party could be the platform for a simple exposure campaign; for example, on our rosettes, website and in news interviews, or more imaginatively as a comedy foil highlighting the particular qualities of a product or organisation. On a smaller scale, a sponsor could support a sole candidate in their campaign constituency. The grey backdrop of a parliamentary election is the perfect opportunity for a colourful Loony event. The Loony Party is a long-standing, vibrant British fixture, bringing iridescence to the election theatre. The cameras always find us, although we're very shy! The Loony Party's origins date to 1963 when Screaming Lord Sutch stood for parliament in Stratford-upon-Avon. He stood in several elections during the '60s and '70s, forming the Loony Party with Howling Laud in 1982. We have stood in twenty-one parliamentary by-elections since Howling Laud became leader in 1999, and had twenty-eight candidates standing across England and Wales in the last General Election of 2010. We field eccentric characters as candidates in both parliamentary by-elections and General Elections. In 2014 we participated in four by-elections, represented by Captain Chaplington-Smythe in Manchester, Nick the Flying Brick in Newark, Howling Laud in Clacton-on-Sea and Hairy Knorm in Rochester. In 2014, our leader Howling Laud Hope was interviewed twice, live in the studio on the Daily Politics show. His distinctive profile has been photographed and appeared in The Times, Telegraph, Independent, many tabloids and the New Statesman. Over a hundred articles about the Loony Party appeared in newspapers and magazines during 2014. Our website had 150,000 daily hits during the week of the 2010 General Election and we look forward to exceeding this in 2015. William Hill supported us in the last two General Elections. In the 2010 General Election Howling Laud was pictured on a page spread in the Daily Telegraph, raising hands with David Cameron, while wearing a huge 'I bet I can beat William Hill' rosette. The Loony Party have marketed a range of beers in 2013/14, in partnership with several breweries. The beers are called 'Co-ALE-ition' and over 50,000 pints have been sold across the UK - our IPA, 'Insanity Prevents Austerity', is the most popular. Our strapline is 'Vote for insanity - you know it makes sense', and we are playfully referred to, in the media, as an alternative option to the Establishment. We are in the nation's psyche, and the British population have an instinctive and unique affection for us. We have a rare doorstep connection and appeal variously to the young, the old and the open-minded. Sponsorship of the Loony Party will bring you national press and TV exposure with an enthusiastic, fun, and distinctive partner. Please contact the Party Treasurer for further information". All auction proceeds go 100% primarily to UK-registered brain tumour charities - but this is being expanded to include worldwide charities too. Rent A Date For Charity (RDC) was set up by director Lisa Connell after she was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour two years ago at the age of 27, and she is trying to reach her goal of raising £1million for charity before she dies. RDC is now looking for sponsors to help with the running cost of the website and to hire full time staff. Lisa and RDC get regular press coverage and have featured articles in Elle, Now and Woman magazine, as well as LK Today and London Tonight. They can offer sponsors the opportunity to feature in association with all their fundraising events, a mention in all press coverage - and also the celebrities that are involved will help raise the profile of RDC and also generate more traffic. Clearly this would be a wonderful PR opportunity for any company to be seen doing something for charity and putting the fun back into fundraising with RDC at www.rentadateforcharity.com. Do get in touch for updated details. Contacts : Lisa Connell, Director and Mandy Smith, PR & Marketing Manager. Tel.: +44 (0) 7721 471 575. The site, established just over fifteen years ago, is free to use and had nearly 300,000 separate users in the last year alone. This attractive website with its numerous and colourful cartoons appears at the top of Google searches for "kids' guides to climate change" and other searches related to pollution, pollution, plastics, pollution, energy, biodiversity and several more. Statistics show the site is widely used internationally, with the highest percentage of users being from the USA (37%), the UK (18%) and India (7%). More about Tiki and his website | Tiki, a friendly penguin, cares deeply about the future of the planet. He explains the ins and outs of pressing environmental issues, as seen through the eyes of a non-human via a series of jargon-free guides, in an engaging and humorous way, appealing to both children and adults. Each guide concludes with an empowering "What kids can do" page. These guides are used as an educational resource by schools and individuals all over the world, helping our future adults gain a deeper understanding about the issues that will affect their future. Tiki's site is free for all to use. As a result, the site is chronically underfunded, receiving basic support - as it has done since its inception - from OneWorld (a non-profit UK-based organisation). Tiki's founder and producer, an earth scientist with a PhD (1970, Cambridge, UK), is looking for sponsorship to put Tiki's pages on a firm financial footing so that there can be a search for younger freelance writer(s) who can take over the reins of the website, building on its success, taking it forward into the future, where a science-based understanding of the problems caused by humans will be essential if solutions are to be found and implemented. MNM/PL022 | TRUCKERSWORLD Truckersworld attracts around 70 million hits a year, mostly from truck drivers but also police officers, Highways Agency officers, government ministers and many others - and the theft alert system described below is only part of the organisation's activity. The Theft Text Alert System is aimed at fighting the criminals who undertake vehicle theft. Truck drivers in the UK are registering on the site as extra "eyes on the road", locating stolen vehicles. As Truckersworld is notified of a vehicle theft, they text out the details to lorry drivers who are registered to receive the information - and then act to help find the stolen vehicles. "Due to the lack of police resources, recovery of stolen vehicles is rare, but with thousands of extra eyes the chance of recovery is increased. The alert system has started with theft of lorries but will expand further if successful. As criminals start to recognise that the theft of vehicles is being broadcast by text to lorry drivers nationwide, this will act as a deterrent, thus helping to reduce both thefts and insurance costs. The system is endorsed by ACPO (the Association of Chief Police Officers) and Truckpol. We all need to fight against crime". Truckersworld is interested in talking to potential sponsors of the system. Contact: Barrie Tozer. Address: 29 Storeys Lane, Skegness, Lincolnshire PE24 5LR. Tel.: 01754811139. It is a discreet site for folk that object to their pictures and personals being splashed all over the internet for anyone to see. It's for busy people who haven't the time to trawl internet dating sites. Hidden Heart is trying to change the outlook and attitude of opinions to a sleeker, classier way of dating, a more personal approach - and we think it's working. We are looking for a sponsor to basically get us on and keep us on the front of the search engines. MNM/026 | OPEN Open is a recently launched online magazine - www.openmagazine.co.uk - offering a cutting edge combination of the high arts and popular culture. MNM/029 | REALITY LEAGUE GOLF Reality League Golf is a completely new concept in competitive golf. The website was launched in March 2011 and is targeting club golfers across the globe. The concept is to allow club golfers to compete with other club golfers from all over the world without the need to travel. The process is very simple: club golfers continue to play in their Club Qualifying Competitions and submit a copy of their results to Reality League Golf via their online account (complete with the appropriate evidence). The focus is not on what scores they shoot but where they finish in their respective competitions. World Ranking Points are awarded, depending on where they finish and points are accumulated over the course of the golfing season. The Leaderboard can be filtered by each category for Gents, Ladies, Juniors and Seniors and can also be filtered by Country, County or State and even by Club. Reality League Golf is seeking between ten and twelve main sponsors whose logos or promotional material will be displayed on every page of the website, which has the potential to be visited by every club golfer in the world. Sponsorship will be at a cost of £5,000 each and the funding will be predominantly used for promoting the website across the globe in particular countries which have a strong presence of golf clubs and golf club members. There will be an extensive prize fund for the winners at the end of the season and it is hoped that some of these prizes can be purchased from the main sponsors themselves. AF/037 | UNIVERSAL FILM & FESTIVAL ORGANISATION The Universal Film & Festival Organisation (UFFO) is a database of ethical filmmakers and film festivals. UFFO oversees the database of accredited film festivals and the UFFO logo appears on the accredited festivals' websites. UFFO created a ten point Film Festival Code of Conduct which was drafted with the collaboration of filmmakers and festival directors with a view to improving the relationship between industry professionals and acknowledging the importance of enhanced cooperation between filmmakers and film festivals. The FFCOC film festival code of conduct has ten guiding principles and the successful implementation of this code will largely depend on the acceptance by the film festival and filmmaking community as a whole. Although the Code of Conduct is completely voluntary, it will help define the obligations and responsibilities that film festival organisers have towards the filmmaking community. The Code of Conduct will not only demonstrate a film festival's willingness to be transparent but in addition it can also be used as a practical guide to assist filmmakers in determining the difference between a legitimate film festival, a fraudulent festival and one that operates dubious business practices. The Code of Conduct has a pragmatic approach to implementation that is based on rational and transparent working methods. It will promote good business practices and assist in the development of relationships between film festival organisers and the filmmaking community. "We are looking for sponsors who wish to benefit from an association with a global organisation which is founded on ethical principles". Contact: Tyrone D. Murphy. MNM/040 | THE WILL SITE The Will Site aims to raise funds for charities by promoting legacies via an online will-making service. Charities can refer supporters to the site where the charity's details are prompted as the will is being made. Top charities are involved, say the organisers, but point out that is an opportunity for an association with a whole range of charities. On average legacies are worth £16,000, and as legacies are pledged, the sponsor can be associated with a large and growing sum raised. The two year target is £50m including legacies pledged to charity. Clients are wealthy and charitable, and a sponsorship arrangement could involve referral of clients including financial information where this can be arranged. For legal firms there is the opportunity of acting as executor. One such sponsor is providing 1,000 'free wills' via the site. Contact: John Ranford. Address: 82 Durban Road, Beckenham, Kent BR3 4EZ.
