29.8.2000 uksponsorship.com revamps for improved navigation
Recently-launched website uksponsorship.com has undergone an early makeover aimed at improving site navigation. The site, which positions itself as The UK Sponsorship Database, carries listings of hundreds of sponsorship opportunities in the arts, education, media, sport and the 'cause-related' sector.
Major media organisations currently listing actual sponsorship availability on the site include Channel Four, Atlantic 252, Pearl & Dean and TDI. Recent additions to the site have included Channel Five, IPC, Jazz FM and Debenhams magazine.
Non-media organisations exhibiting their sponsorship availability on the site include The Tate, the PGA, the London School of Economics, the British Library and the Rugby Football Union. Amongst other listings are major names such as the Hayward Gallery, the Football Association, Oxfam, BAFTA, Age Concern and UK Athletics.
"We believe that many people are taking a much more lateral-thinking kind of approach to sponsorship nowadays - our site opens up endless possibilities", claims site manager Richard Fox. "However, some of the feedback we've been getting since our launch in May has suggested that people were confused by seeing so many buttons!"
"We hope the new layout simplifies things. The site is reaching the point of critical mass - in the next couple of months we expect to have most major players in each sector on board and with visits increasing so rapidly it's important that we get the navigation system right".
