Launch of uksponsorship.com offers major new outlet in sponsorship market
New web site uksponsorship.com aims to offer potential sponsors information about sponsorship opportunities across a wide range of sectors.
Visitors will find that they have completely free access to lists of sponsorship projects covering major categories including Arts, Media, the 'Cause-related' sector, Education and Sport. Each major category offers sub-sections; in the Media category, for instance, there are sub-sections featuring TV, radio, cinema, press, new media and video.
The site will list details of specific projects and ongoing sponsorships offered by organisations and companies throughout the UK. Site manager Richard Fox says the site will have a number of fundamental differences from other web sites covering the sponsorship marketplace.
"Sponsorship is the fastest-growing sector in marketing. We will be focussing on giving sponsors and agencies brief descriptions of selected major sponsorship opportunities and the contact details they need to find out more and possibly take things further", says Fox. "The primary purpose of the site is to highlight important, current and ongoing opportunities".
The site's database is currently being loaded on and expanded as contributors are recruited. In the media area, there are already basic listings for companies such as GMTV, Pearl and Dean and Performance - The Arts Channel but Fox promises significant development in this area.
"A number of major media are talking about listing some of their prime properties as separate 'showcase' items. We will certainly want to develop this part of our service in order to maximise traffic to the site", says Fox.
