ENGLAND JUNIOR LADIES CURLING TEAM
The England Junior Ladies Curling Team are five teenagers aged 13 to 18, based in Kent. They are the first English junior ladies curling team and they have been selected to play in the European Championships in Copenhagen in January. The team is too small to qualify for support from Sport England and, although they will get some help from the English Curling Association, most of the expense of competing (accommodation, food, two sets of kit and insurance) will have to be borne by the team's members. They are a young, ambitious team with great sporting potential, and need an ongoing sponsor to help them achieve their goals, while at the same time perhaps promoting a product which can capitalise on their cool image and healthy lifestyle. They are able to wear their sponsor's logo on the arm of their competition kit and would be happy to take part in publicity to promote their sponsor. The team's local newspaper has carried their 'story' and, should they be successful in Denmark, local TV news bulletins might well carry pictures. Contact: Melissa Garnier. Address: Sarnden Farmhouse, Iden Green, Benenden TN17 4LD. Tel.: 01580 240506. E-mail: mgarnier@waitrose.com

ENGLISH CURLING ASSOCIATION
Opportunities are available to be involved with the Olympic sport of curling in England. The English Curling Association is the national governing body for the sport of curling in England and is a member of the European Curling Association and World Curling Federation. Representative teams are sent to European and World championships each year. Advertising, development initiative sponsorships (Juniors, Disabled, "a sport for life", etc.), competition sponsorships (schools, club, national and international), curling centre naming and sponsorships and curling team sponsorships and endorsements (schools, disabled, club, national and international) are all available. Team sponsorships can cost as little as £1,000 per season. National championships (Mens, Womens, Mixed, Disabled, Senior Mens and Womens, Junior Mens and Womens) start from £2,000. These have attracted local television and media interest at the ECA's first curling centre in Tunbridge Wells. The association would be very interested to talk about curling centre sponsorships, which could start at just £200,000 for a fifteen year naming lease and competition and presenting sponsorships, which would cover the cost of televising an event. Contact: Stephen Hinds, National Development Director. Address: Flexmore House, Hill Farm Lane, Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire HP8 4NT. Tel.: 07973 737107.
