BRITISH ALLSTARS TWENTY 20 CRICKET LEAGUE
A new national cricket competition - the British Allstars Twenty 20 Cricket League - is being set up here in the UK for the summer of 2015. "The league will consist of seven teams around England and they will play each other on a home and away basis. All the games will be shown live on television, ball by ball and over by over. This league will be producing a new generation of stars and will be watched by over one million viewers daily, making it 'the next big thing' in summer sport. The games will be shown live in several other countries as well, include India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, South Africa, West Indies, Australia and the whole of the Middle East. BRITISH ASSOCIATION FOR CRICKETERS WITH DISABILITIES
The British Association for Cricketers with Disabilities is a charitable organisation run entirely by volunteers and its main job is to run and administer the Disabled County Cricket Championship on behalf of the ECB. There are some sixteen counties currently involved, with plans to take on a further four counties in the next two years. The BACD offers cricket opportunities for people with learning or physical disabilites and is looking for sponsorship for its national competitions. "We currently run two county competitions, one using a normal hardball and one for those less mobile, using a softer ball, called an Incrediball. We also run a national Twenty/20 competition at the National Cricket Performance Centre at Loughborough. This is for the fifty-two best physically disabled cricketers in the country. For the county championship competitions, we are looking for sponsorship deals in the region of £2K per competition per season and for the Twenty/20 competition we are looking for deals in the region of £1K".
