He was a founder partner at Washer Fox Coughlan, an ad. agency which was highly successful in the 'eighties, winning accounts such as Olivetti, 3M, IBM, Alfa Romeo and Christie's. Over the years he has been a frequent contributor to trade press magazines such as Campaign, Marketing, Marketing Week and Media Week, amongst others. Married, with two sons, he has an MA in Literature and holds the CAM Media Diploma. He has also worked as a part-time teacher of English. He supports Cardiff City FC and Glamorgan CCC.
