SOMERSET COUNTY CRICKET CLUB LOOK TO SPONSORS TO STUMP UP FOR THE COMING SEASON
With the start of the 2003 cricket season not far away, Somerset County Cricket Club are gearing themselves up for new challenges with the launch of an Appeal Year, aimed at making the club financially independent.
Superstar Ian Botham has been recruited to head the drive to grow the club's membership base. The idea is that financial success off the pitch and playing success on the pitch will go hand in hand.
With a squad featuring England players Andrew Caddick and Marcus Trscothick, the club has high ambitions for the coming season.
On the sponsorship front, the club is already claiming significant achievements. But a number of opportunities are still available, amongst them the following:
Naming of the ground
Floodlit match sponsorship
Twenty20 Cup shirt branding
Advertising boards - pitchside
Match programme advertising
Cricket Academy sponsorship
Prices range from £870 (pitchside advertising board) to £35,000 (naming of ground).
