This Cheshire-based British company began as an experimental rocket test programme set up by Steve Bennett in 1992 with the objective of developing an inexpensive means of delivering small scientific payloads to high altitudes. The Starchaser Foundation was set up a year later. Since then, fourteen out of the sixteen launches undertaken by the company have been successful. In 1997, the company entered the $10m X-prize competition - and was incorporated as a private limited company the following year with the primary goal of winning the prize in the shortest possible time.
On November 22nd, 2001, at Morecambe Bay, the company's Nova launch vehicle (pictured) became the largest rocket ever to be launched from the British mainland.
Having already gained a high level of TV, press and newspaper coverage (see its website for details), Starchaser Industries can promise sponsors excellent returns.
