The 2007 ESA European Sponsorship Awards has been launched, encouraging sponsorship professionals from across Europe to put forward their most successful and effective campaigns.
The Awards, organised by the European Sponsorship Association (ESA), are the only pan-European sponsorship awards celebrating distinction for any type and size of sponsorship covering sport, culture, entertainment, media and corporate social responsibility.
Open to sponsors, rights holders and agencies, the entries will be judged by an independent panel of European industry experts. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Brussels on Thursday, 8th November as part of ESA’s two-day Future Sponsorship Conference.
ESA’s Vice Chairman Helen Day commented: “The Awards provides an ideal platform for the finalists to publicise their campaigns on a European stage and gives the industry an opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding work that has been achieved during the year. The 2007 Awards builds on ESA’s previous European Sponsorship Awards programme which ran successfully with a different format and criteria from 2001 to 2005”.
The five categories are: Business to Business; Business to Consumer; Business to Community; Business to Employee; International Sponsorship.
The ESA European Sponsorship Award will also be presented to the entry that is selected by the judges as the best overall campaign.
The cost of entry starts at €135 (£95) per category and savings are available for multiple entries. Applicants can apply now at www.sponsorship.org/awIntro.asp The closing date is the 5th October 2007.
