World Snooker has announced that Royal London Watches will sponsor one of the sport's major tournaments, the Grand Prix, for the next three years.
The world ranking tournament, one of the four events televised each season by BBC Sport, will be known as the Royal London Watches Grand Prix. A seven figure sum will be invested by Royal London Watches over the three-years of the agreement.
This year’s event runs from October 21st to 29th at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre and features the top 32 players in the world rankings as well as 16 qualifiers. Defending champion John Higgins, world number one Stephen Hendry, world champion Graeme Dott, "Rocket" Ronnie O’Sullivan, Ken Doherty, Mark Williams, Ding Junhui and Steve Davis will be among those battling for the trophy.
