Horse of the Year Show (HOYS), the world’s most famous horse show, has announced a three year sponsorship deal with Monarch, who will become the Official Airline for Horse of the Year Show. It is the first time ever in the show’s long history that a partnership has been secured with a major airline and is an association which aims to highlight the two brands' core brand synergies, perceived to be prestige, loyalty and heritage.
Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) takes place from 4th-8th October at the NEC in Birmingham.
Mike Gill, a Director of show organisers, Grandstand Media Ltd., said, “We are delighted to have Monarch as our first Official airline and are certain this alliance will be greatly beneficial to all parties involved. Since our move to the NEC in 2002 we have attracted record numbers of new visitors and Monarch have been quick to identify the benefits of utilising Horse of the Year Show to promote their new hub at Birmingham International Airport, which is connected directly to the NEC complex.”
As part of the sponsorship, Monarch will enjoy extensive branding opportunities prior to the event, via the new Horse of the Year Show website (www.hoys.co.uk) and at the event itself. The airline will also become heavily involved with the HOYS organisers in promoting short breaks to the event by ex-pats and foreign visitors especially from Spain and Portugal.
Tim Jeans, Managing Director of Monarch’s scheduled services, commented: “Horse of the Year Show takes place on the doorstep of one of Monarch’s major hubs, Birmingham – an airport to which we are in the process of adding more and more routes to key European holiday destinations. The tens of thousands of visitors to the event are impressed with the ease of access and location of the event and we therefore hope that this will translate into them selecting Birmingham as their chosen departure point for their holidays.”
