Senior managers from the company will formally announce the sponsorship agreement at a House of Commons lunch with Charles Hendry MP, Vice Chair of the UKYP Board of Trustees, this coming Thursday, 31st January.
Attending the lunch will be Jeannie Edwards, MWH Human Resources Director, Vice-Chairman Ken Farrer and Sarah Grimwood, manager of MWH's UKYP relationship.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Ken Farrer said: "MWH has a very productive relationship with the UKYP. Senior staff and graduate engineers have led and participated in events such as the recent 'Talking 'bout our generation' day, where MWH's Head of Sustainable Development and Technical Director, Professor Charles Ainger gave a presentation on climate change.

"We have now decided to sponsor the work of the UKYP for the next three years. The work they undertake is very important and extremely worthwhile, introducing young people to politics and showing them how they can make a difference.
"'Building a better world' is the wording that appears on our advertising and brochures, and reflects what our company is working to achieve - and our sponsorship of the UKYP is part of that."
Kate Parish, UKYP's Head of Programmes said: "The environment and climate change are key concerns for our members, and as the work of MWH touches on so many aspects of these concerns we know their even greater involvement in our work will stimulate discussion and debate.
"We would like to thank MWH for its generous sponsorship and look forward to working with them on a range of events and projects over the next three years."
