The exhibition of over a hundred paintings, pastels and watercolours will explore the Scottish links with Impressionist painting in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, and assess its impact on Scottish art and artists.
Impressionism and Scotland will celebrate the internationalism of Scottish art and taste in the years between 1865 and 1930. Artists represented in the show will include Corot, Whistler McTaggart, the Glasgow Boys, Sisley, Pissarro, Renoir, Manet, Monet, Van Gogh, Seurat, Cézanne, Gauguin and Toulouse-Lautrec.

To launch the inaugural year of the award Film London and More4 have invested in Derek, a major new feature length biopic directed by artist Isaac Julien. The film has already been shortlisted for international competition at Sundance and selected for Berlin in 2008. Its UK première will form part of the Jarman exhibition, curated by Isaac Julien, at the Serpentine Gallery London, running from 22nd February to 13th April, 2008.
