Halifax RLFC score with new sponsorship deal
Halifax RLFC officials have secured a major sponsorship deal to give the club a further financial boost as the build up to the new campaign intensifies.
Calderdale company Complete Building Materials have agreed a five figure sponsorship deal with the club which involves the company logo appearing on the collar of the club's playing shirt and a host of match and player sponsorships throughout the 2008 season.
"Complete Building Materials have been a regular match sponsor for the last two seasons, and we are delighted that they have now increased their support by becoming collar sponsors," said Halifax's commercial consultant Graham Clay. "They are a dynamic local company who have grown rapidly since their formation in 2005, and their decision to commit further to the club is a real boost for us."
The Gibbet Street based company, which is owned by lifelong rugby fans Richard Moody and Neil Wheadon, serves house builders and contractors across Yorkshire and Lancashire. "We are delighted to be in a position where we can support our local club," enthused Moody.
"We believe local people appreciate local firms giving support to local organisations. We enjoyed being involved with the club last season, and are equally delighted with the squad the club has put together for this season."
As part of the deal Complete are continuing their sponsorship of pack star Frank Watene, one of the club's most popular players and winner of the Halifax Courier's 'Star Man' award for last season. The firm are also to sponsor another as yet un-named player and four National League games as part of the deal.
