ANIMALS IN WAR
The Animals in War event will commemorate the Centenary of WW1 by fundraising for World Horse Welfare and the Blue Cross. "Last year I organised four Fun Horse Ride events, on my own, on a small budget. They were a great success and I have been asked by many to do the same again. This year I propose one event with four classes of differing distances, and with targeted advertising on a 'national' level, I would hope to attract a greater response and entry. Thus far, I have a venue, routes and quotations from the various professionals required to carry out this event, estimated at £4,000.00. My dream would be to be able to give the charities the whole donation, while promoting our safe, off road riding in the beautiful Brickhills and Rushmere Park". CEREDROTIAN
Established in 2009, Ceredrotian represents four harness racing clubs throughout Ceredigion - Lampeter, Tregaron, Tan y Castell and Ceredigion. Ceredrotian race meetings are all affiliated to the British Harness Racing Club. The four clubs associated to Ceredrotian promote eight racing days between May and September. "The county is proud to promote some of the country's most prestigious and richest harness race meetings. As a result of the quality and popularity of the meetings, we welcome thousands of visitors and hundreds of horses to West Wales every year. Harness racing has a very high profile across Wales and this has been achieved not least by extensive coverage given to the sport on S4C every year (Rasus). In 2013, there was live TV coverage coming from our races at Ceredigion and Tregaron Harness Race meetings during July and August. Ceredrotian race sponsorship is extremely flexible and we can tailor the package to suit any budget". Contact: Kayleigh Evans. Tel.: 01974 821511. E-mail: info@ceredrotian.com.

SHO/PL004 TAILWAGGER DOG DISPLAY TEAM
The Tailwagger Dog Display Team is a self-funding team of thirty-two people drawn from The Tailwagger Training Club in Leeds. At present they attend various shows throughout Yorkshire, ranging from small village fetes to agricultural shows. One of their main shows is Bramham International Horse Trials in June each year. This year their show season culminated in a trip to south west Wales in September to defend their title of Dog Olympic Champions, which is an inter-club competition held each year. The team retained their title of Dog Olympics Champions, coming first and third. "We are now ready to launch this event in Yorkshire. We have our own PA system, generator, trailer and portable fencing - all of which require servicing/upgrading from time to time. Our trip to Wales costs in the region of £6,000.00, including fuel and overnight stays, all of which we pay ourselves. Most of the team use this as a holiday, because otherwise they would not get one!" Contact: Cathy Paterson, Team Manager. Address: 432 Stonegate House, Moortown, Leeds LS17 5BX. Tel.: 07717 860142. SHO/001 PATTY WILLIAMS
Patty Williams offers sponsorship opportunities in connection with a sculpture project, The Four Horses. The pieces are four life size, head and neck, sculpted and mosaiced horses; the subject, our diverse relationship with animals. "This project is a culmination of my thoughts and feelings so far. I've used the horse because it's both wild and domesticated. We 'connect' with this animal. The individual titles are Freedom, Control, Domesticity and Death. The working title for the whole project is Remorse. The pose and mosaicing material specifically reflect each title, eg 'Freedom' (85% complete) - strong and unbowed, mane flying back, the 'messenger' has arrived. The small flint stones from the south coast (some with fossils) I've used, have an energy and feel that enhances the sense of liberty. The second piece, 'Control', is based on the physicality of a thoroughbred. The natural black stones enhance its powerful energy, but it will be tight and concise to emphasise our desire to control, with a hint of madness in the eyes. 'Domesticity' - the pose emphasises a sense of unbalance, with man-made broken china to represent a smothering of natural instincts - sense numbing, sad, idiotic. Finally 'Death': highly reflective, compelling to view. Between each cut piece will be a vibrant coloured joint. Its reflective nature will leave little doubt as to whom has caused its demise. All four pieces must be exhibited as a group; each connects to the next. I am currently negotiating for exhibition space in relevant venues. I've worked part time since starting this project in January 2010. Based on current progress I will finish in eighteen months if I work on it full time, which will require living expenses and transport costs for exhibitions - an estimated cost of £17,000. For interested sponsors I offer advertising space in conjuction with the exhibits and any other requirements that suit us both. For more information, photos and viewing of the first piece, contact me". Contact: Patty Williams. Address: Flat 2, 12a High Street, Arundel, West Sussex BN18 9AB. Tel.: 01903 885263.
