New web-based service for football coaches seeks sponsors

A Leeds entrepreneur is paving the way for a future England team success with the launch of an innovative web-based service for football coaches.

Train1on1.co.uk aims to change the face of sport in the UK by creating a link between highly qualified coaches and the people seeking their assistance. The company is actively seeking support in the form of sponsorship.

The website was launched recently at Moor Allerton Hall Primary School in Leeds with the help of 100 pupils who launched 100 balloons to mark the new generation in football coaching. Each balloon contained a label with free coaching hours for the recipient which they can give to their school, team or even company.

Train1on1 is giving away 100 hours of free coaching in celebration of the launch.

Richard Caldwell, 24, from Headingley in Leeds is founder and managing director of Train1on1. “We are offering a service that will enable qualified coaches to market their ability and skills to any player, school, club or organisation that requires the use of such a coach. Our coaches will offer two services: one-on-one coaching or group/team coaching with 100% of fees earned going to the coach delivering the session.”

“Train1on1 offers coaches the opportunity to develop skills through SAQ training as well as providing them with the chance to coach all over the world - Ghana, America, Costa Rica, South Africa. We are also working with St Johns Ambulance, to ensure that all coaches are first aid trained.”

Steve Baker, consultant at West Yorkshire Venture, who are providing funding and business support, said: “We only fund businesses that have a potential growth to turnover of £1 million within three years. Richard has a very strong business model and we are confident that the business will grow. It’s an exciting time for Richard and the Train1on1 concept.”

Kickitout, a sporting charity aiming to kick out racism in sport, is also supporting Train1on1. The charity will be working closely with Train1on1 to help educate coaches and create a healthier nation of sports people, both physically and mentally.
