AFRICA CRICKET ASSOCIATION
Since the inception of the Africa Cricket Association (ACA) in October 1997, the development programme in Africa has made tremendous strides in achieving the goals set out by the ICC Development Programme. Many more countries and participants than originally envisaged have been reached. The game has certainly spread to most corners of Africa with the Africa Cricket Association. Africa has a lot to offer and the idea of "Bringing cricket to Africa" is not only taking shape but forging ahead. The Africa Cricket Association is proud of its constitution: as the preamble to its constitution states: "The Africa Cricket Association was born out of a desire amongst its members to develop Cricket in Africa and to foster co-operation and mutual assistance between members for the good of Cricket in Africa, each member recognizing the responsibility to assist other members where possible, and as far as possible". A range of sponsorship opportunities are offered - more details are available on request. Contact: Gary Naidoo, Marketing Director. HEXAGON SPORTS MANAGEMENT
Hexagon Sports Management P/L is a sports management company that seeks to bring markets and brands together through the promulgation of sports. Its innovative approach to sports sponsorship and knowledge of events management, together with its strategic insight, makes the company an invaluable conduit for the delivery of brand value for its clients. "Our vision is to be the pre-eminent player in sports sponsorship and events management. Our mission is to utilise creativity and out-of-the box thinking in creating sports marketing solutions that build our clients' brands and provide much needed Return-On-Investment (ROI). We have a variety of properties in Football, Rugby and Cycling. We are also the publishers of the Zimbabwean premium soccer magazine Gemazo. We are proposing a property called Hexagon Futures Cup, which is an under 20s soccer tournament that runs annually in Zimbabwe from May to September. Zimbabwe is a country with a strong passion for football and a number of local brands have taken advantage of this, sponsoring teams and league tournaments. Hexagon has partnered with the National Association of Secondary Heads to promote the sport from grassroots level in order to leverage its full potential. The mechanics of the tournament are that the ten geographical provinces of Zimbabwe will have representatives, with each province competing from cluster level to zonal level and then inter-district level for the national winner. There are a total of 2,271 schools that compete with a total of 63,588 participants and a possible 2,498,100 spectators nationwide from cluster level. The winners will compete in the zonal stage and a possible 1,148,000 spectators. The nationals will have a total of 1,460 participants, 584 officials and 50,000 spectators all in one province. With such a reach - more than 1.5 milliom students, teachers and parents - sponsors will have a guaranteed multitude of people consuming their brands and passion. This is an opportunity for sponsors to showcase and build their brands, selling them from grassroots level. An alignment between the sponsor and soccer will be created as the association alone will enhance the sponsor's brand amongst the target market. The sponsorship package needed to make this event a success is a total of $US 300,000.00. This amount will enable us to successfully and professionally organise the event, yielding results that will benefit both the sponsor and the NASH. The $US 300,000.00 is packaged into four tiers: Platinum $US 100,000, Gold $US 60,000, Silver $US 25,000 and Bronze $US 10,000. This will enable each sponsor to be differentiated and benefits will accrue accordingly. We hope that sponsors will take this opportunity to create a sporting activity that is loved and enjoyed by all as it instils passion and evokes emotions". Contact: Charles Chirapula.
