Sponsors who focus on The Fear of Falling photographic exhibition would develop high media exposure
The Fear of Falling is a series of beautiful, timeless, life-size, underwater portraits that present new ways to consider the profound experience of submergence. Exploring our changing relationship with the present moment, the portrait's subject moves away from ethereal and floating imagery usually associated with water and offers instead a more grounded and weighted sense of being. With a gentle nod towards the Industrial Revolution and making processes surrounding that era, the portraits pose the question: could shifts in consciousness whilst immersed be akin to those experienced centuries ago? This exquisite series will be exhibited at Shunt Vaults, September 2008, an impressive venue renowned for cutting-edge work. The exhibition is supported by Arts Council England, Photofusion Photography Gallery and Underwater Action Studios, amongst other prominent businesses and organisations. An artists’ talk will be held in conjunction with Thames Festival and Metro Imaging have guaranteed a second national show in 2009. The project is the brainchild of artists Emma Critchley and Sophie Lewis. Emma’s award winning underwater photography has been recognised both nationally and internationally with exhibitions in the UK, Spain, Canada and Australia. Sophie, a pioneer of water movement therapy and expert in her field, alongside working on numerous underwater art-based projects, has received widespread recognition for her work and been featured on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, The Daily Telegraph and Time Out. Together their practice explores the human connection with water and pushes boundaries of underwater photography. Exhibition sponsors will have the opportunity to participate in a stunning artistic exhibition that seeks to inspire the general public’s imagination. The sponsor's logo will be featured on all publicity as well as being situated within Shunt itself. This will enable the sponsor to reach a young professional 18-40 audience and have their brand seen and associated with a high-end art exhibition, as well as with a very stylish and fashionable central London location. The Fear of Falling has created and will continue to create huge interest from a wide variety of sources and can therefore expect to generate maximum press coverage, offering the sponsor excellent publicity and exposure. With a guaranteed second exhibition in 2009, all advertising and publicity will reach national audiences for an extended period of time. There will also be a website created especially for the project, where exhibition sponsors will be listed with appropriate website links.
