Hollis Sponsorship and Donations Yearbook - rev. ed. 2007

The definitive guide to sponsors, sponsor seekers and services suppliers

Opportunities for sponsors will be sky high when British Aviation 100's events take off

The power of flight, those magnificent men in their flying machines, the start of air movement and travel - without the likes of Alliott Verdon-Roe none of this would have been possible. British Aviation 100 celebrates a century of extraordinary aircraft being built and flown within the UK.

The organisers are looking for partners who wish to be seen as guardians of a unique heritage and who will benefit directly or indirectly from exposure to the general public, the flying and flying machine enthusiasts and members of the aviation industry, who will be attending celebrations this summer and over the coming years.

The first three British Aviation 100 events are already confirmed: Brooklands Museum and Farnborough in 2008 and the Imperial War Museum, Duxford in 2009 - with more to follow. Immediately the sponsor and their company will have the opportunity to be associated with an historic event on June 7th, 2008, to celebrate the mould-breaking life and ground-breaking achievements of Sir Alliott Verdon-Roe.

Brooklands Museum expects over 3,000 people to attend the daytime celebrations, with a further 500 planned to attend the British Aviation Centenary Dinner event at Mercedes-Benz World in the evening.

Both Brooklands and MBW are supporting the June 7th event, together with BAe Systems, who have helped fund the building of replica aircraft, together with the endorsement of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

The sponsor will have the opportunity to be one of the first partners, and to continue to build their association with British Aviation 100 from the beginning.

As a partner, the sponsor will also have the opportunity to build links for educational purposes.

The sponsor will be supporting a heritage initiative and events attended by a diverse group of people, with clear PR opportunities and broadcast coverage already lined-up.

As a partner, the sponsor will have immediate exposure to 67,000 people who receive and read FlyPast each month. FlyPast has agreed to be media partner and will support British Aviation 100 events with editorial, features and well-positioned paid for advertising in the months leading up to each event.

As a partner the sponsor will have immediate exposure to everybody who books to attend both the daytime event and the evening celebration via the British Aviation 100 website. These people will be reached through a mix of advertising, local poster campaigns, handouts and take-one flyers, magazine inserts and email blasts pushing them to visit the web site.

The sponsor will have first option to continue to support the events in future years and at future events, buying in to the initiative event by event, annually, or committing to the longer term.
