West Wirral Scouts look to tie the knot with sponsors and do their best for their brand
In July 2008, a party of twenty West Wirral Scouts will embark on a global journey to visit the Canadian province of Ontario. This challenge provides an opportunity to promote Scouting on a global scale and to create new international friendships. The children involved in the adventure are all aged from 10-16 and are members of West Wirral Scouts & Explorer Scouts. They will be taking part in conservation projects, investigating the diverse Canadian ecosystems and learning about conservation and the wider global impact of environmental issues, such as pollution and CO2 management. The children have been working hard to raise funds and have held car washes, race nights, jumble sales, raffles, etc. and now the group would like to extend the opportunity to become involved in supporting their trip to the wider global corporate community. They are interested in any methods of support, from financial contributions to the provision of articles of clothing or travel equipment on which they could promote the sponsor's brand. "If you would like to support a community youth project which has a true global and personal impact then this is the project for you - please consider the opportunities which you could enable us to provide for our young people". The Scout Association is a national charity and all of its adults are volunteer leaders.
