PENDLE VALE COLLEGE BUILDS LANDMARK EDUCATIONAL SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Pendle Vale College is standing at the threshold of the most exciting revolution in education in Pendle for over half a century. As a result of the Building Schools for the Future initiative, the College, formerly known as Walton High School and before that Nelson Grammar School, will become a spectacular education and training facility for young people and the community in Pendle. The College will boast a position as the finest of its kind in England with outstanding, state of the art, sport, technology and conference facilities to name but a few of the developments planned. The new building will be complete by the summer of 2008. Pendle Vale College is an aspiring Sports College, with Technology as its second specialist area. In order to qualify for over £500,000 in additional financial support from the government over four years, as a designated specialist school, the College needs to raise, by public subscription, £50,000. In return for this, Pendle Vale will receive £100,000 to help fulfil its community strategy. As a Specialist College, Pendle Vale will help to raise aspirations and educational standards in Pendle, giving its community and employers access to a highly trained and motivated pool of talent, with the vision to see the wider picture. Access to conference facilities, technological resources and superb sport and leisure facilities will be available to businesses (and their present and potential employees) which choose to sponsor Pendle Vale. In addition the College believes that they can help support the training needs of a sponsor's business through the use of its outstanding facilities. Sponsorship support will also enable sponsoring companies to achieve elements of their corporate responsibility role with the added benefit, no doubt, of being able to offset any sponsorship against tax. "If you are an individual or an ex-student of Walton High School or Nelson Grammar School and want to support us raising this significant amount of money your ideas and/or contributions will be gratefully received and appropriately acknowledged in the new build". Pendle Vale College will be a brand new £30 million building. The design is innovative and unlike any other design seen for a school. It will become a landmark for Pendle and as a centre of sporting and academic excellence will enable the area's young people to reach higher and higher standards. All sponsors corporate, or individual, will have access to and be acknowledged on the Pendle Vale College website and through all media outlets. The College is more than happy to allow potential sponsors to see its exciting plans and designs. Construction started in August 2006 and they would love to walk potential investors around the building that is changing the landscape day by day. "We need your help, your support, your encouragement, your backing. Whatever you can contribute will be most gratefully received be it £5, £50, £500 or £5,000. We look forward to hearing from you".
