Illuminate Productions boasts a reputation for producing dynamic, original, innovative exhibitions. The momentum of Illuminate Productions is boldly forging ahead with the aim to be an influential, inspirational annual art exhibition in London.
Founded in 2004 as a not-for-profit curatorial organisation to provide a platform for artists, the series of five exhibitions which take place annually will use natural phenomena as their central theme, covering a wide variety of artistic mediums. Illuminate Productions opens up London's lost buildings before their regeneration, enabling artists to work in unusual and challenging contexts. The artists involved are both emergent British artists and established international artists.
Working alongside artists, musicians and lighting designers, the organisation creates an exciting art experience that will open the way for discussion and fresh debate about contemporary art. These ambitious projects will not only benefit the artists and musicians involved, they will also have a direct impact on the local community.
Each exhibition carries a flexible programme of benefits which can be tailored to match the sponsor's specific requirements, including unique Private Events, meeting the artists, etc.
Current opportunity
The organisation's third exhibition, Core, proves to be the most exciting so far. The space, the projects and the events have all grown significantly in ambition. Core will take the natural elements as its theme. The chemical and physical change of matter will be explored by artists. The show will feature a diverse group of eleven contemporary artists to include installation artists, painters, sculptors, film and video artists. The artists will act as a physical entity in contact with the elements, and will open themselves to embrace time and nature in all traces and chance happenings, creating a simulacrum of natural phenomena and constructing a unique sense of time and place.
