The key elements of The Foundation Festival's concept are as follows: 1. Entertainment. The Foundation Festival promises to be an entertainment extravaganza, with over 150 live acts, DJs, bands, magicians, circus and theatre performers, dancers and artists from a diverse background, encompassing national and international acts, with local and regional bands that have mass appeal. 2. Experience. The organisation intends to offer an exceptional experience to all festival-goers through the immense variety of quality music, arts, entertainment, world cuisine, stalls and crafts and carefully selected sponsors whose primary objective will be to add value to the experience. 3. Access to the Arts. The festivals will provide access for the general public to a wide variety of visual, musical and performing arts, offering new arts experiences and providing a healthy boost to local and national businesses - helping them to thrive rather than just survive. 4. Supporting charities. The Foundation Festival will be working in association with global charities, who will each be receiving a donation from the event, as well as having a campaigning presence. 5. Offering opportunities. The organisers aim to give the people of Bristol an event in which they can participate to showcase the talent that resides in Bristol and the surrounding areas. The festival team believes that successful creative partnerships, including music and arts, provide new opportunities attractive to young people, whether it is in new technologies, music and dance, decor and design or in other areas that benefit the wider community. 6. Cultural diversity. The organisers will work closely with the Bristol communities to bring together people from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds, in order to present an event which reflects, represents and celebrates the culturally diverse society we live in today. Supported by local traders and regional and national businesses, the organisation's aim is to establish a safe and professionally run event as well as encourage greater involvement in the arts from all sections of Bristol, north Somerset and the diverse communities from surrounding areas. The Foundation Festival will be a unique fusion of music, art and charity, bringing together universities, different cultural artist agencies, performers, musicians and artists from a very wide range of disciplines. Through building a complex group of experienced contractors and managers, the organisers have assembled a team utilising industry experience and cutting edge innovation and technology to ensure the Foundation Festival will be pushing boundaries from the very beginning.
