FLY-K2 PARAGLIDERS SEEK SUMMIT MEETING WITH POTENTIAL SPONSORS
The Fly-K2 Paragliding Expedition is a group of ten multi-national paraglider pilots with a common aim: to fly paragliders up the world's second highest mountain, the 'savage' 8,611m K2. The team is mounting an expedition in the summer of 2006. This is a world first and is poised to open a new adventuring era. The expedition entails full mountain logistics to the Baltaro region of the Karakorum mountains. The group has already secured equipment sponsors following on from its successful, self-funded expedition to Rakaposhi (7,800m) in 2004. Due to the remoteness of the mountain range, the logistics of this trip dictate a far greater expense, budgeted at £100,000, for which the team is in search of a commercial sponsor. The expedition's members would be most grateful for sponsorship support and if successful they would involve the sponsoring organisation in maintaining and delivering returns. Photographic and filming opportunities are abundant with excellent product placement and branding links. An outline web page is now available at www.Fly-K2.com which further explains the expedition's aims and potential returns, together with some of the media coverage generated by its 2004 expedition.
