TIME FOR SPONSORS TO SADDLE UP AND GET ON TREC
|
Would you like your product/business associated with a dynamic and growing equestrian sport seen on a world class stage? A sport that is helping to regenerate the tourist industry and contributing to rural economies all over the country? A sport that has an adventurous outdoor image, and is appealing not just to the traditional competitive horse riding market but is drawing in a much broader spectrum of riders, carriage drivers and people with a desire to enjoy the outdoors?
The British Horse Society is the UK's largest and most influential equestrian charity, and they are seeking a commercial partner to work with them on the 2006 TREC European Championships. The sum sought is £100,000.00.
TREC brings to the participant an appreciation of the countryside and a concern for the preservation of our landscape, an understanding of the historic and social role horse riding has in our culture, as well as a new opportunity to develop an active and life-enhancing pastime.
The event will attract over a hundred and fifty of Europe’s best competitors to the selected venue. The first staging of a TREC event of this stature in Britain will create considerable media interest, particularly as Great Britain has an outstanding chance of winning both events. The BHS has chosen Exmoor in England as the venue for the championships. Exmoor offers the opportunity of displaying one of Britain’s most beautiful areas to an international audience, an area with a great equestrian tradition that is seeking inward tourism, and that has the full support of the community, the National Park Authority and the local authority because of the scale of the project.
