PAINTED FACE PRODUCTIONS LOOK TO SPONSORS TO MAKE UP THEIR FUNDING NEEDS
Painted Face Productions are a non-profitmaking company, aiming to produce unusual theatre and placing primary emphasis on artistic quality and individuality.

Scaramouche Jones by Justin Butcher is a male monologue performed in one act. Scaramouche Jones is a one hundred year old clown who has not spoken a word in fifty years. It is Millennium eve, the last night of his life, and after leaving the stage from his final performance Scaramouche decides that it is time to tell the tale of his life. The company performed the Scottish première of Scaramouche Jones to a full audience in the Bedlam Theatre, Edinburgh, in October 2004 and went on to perform a second, sold-out, three-night run in the Roxy Art House a month later. The production reached the second round of selection for the National Student Drama Festival, held in Scarborough during March 2005.

Painted Face Productions are looking for corporate sponsors interested in funding an English and Scottish tour and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, either individually or as a whole, which they have estimated will cost £13,497 including contingency budgets. They are also looking for sponsors interested in funding to provide transportation, lighting hire and publicity related elements.

The company can offer advertising space on posters, flyers and programmes, the extent of which will be dependent upon the amount provided by the sponsor. Given the spectrum of the proposed tour, this kind of advertisement would not only reach a large number of people but also a widely diverse proportion of the public, they point out.

And given the reviews of their previous productions of Scaramouche Jones, the company expects to generate considerable positive press coverage, giving any potential sponsor significant positive exposure in connection with the company.
