HIV/AIDS CHARITY SEEKS SUPPORT FROM SPONSORS WITH INITIATIVE
Health Initiatives (HI), founded in 1999, gives support to young people under 27 living with HIV/AIDS. HI provides educational programmes and lessons for schools and colleges and has worked with young offenders. The charity raises awareness through the media, articles, World AIDS Day and Crusaid Walk for Life and is currently developing its own campaigns. HI is in the process of setting up the first clinic in London to provide one hour HIV testing for young people over the weekend. Virgin Unite has chosen the charity as a strategic partner for two years and has recently won the Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowship to make a global film on the impact of HIV on young people. Sponsorship support is now sought.
