SPONSORS CAN HAVE A BALL SUPPORTING THE LOWE SYNDROME TRUST
The Lowe Syndrome Trust offers the opportununity to sponsor a Ball at the Mandarin Oriental in Knightsbridge, London, on 22nd January, 2005. The Trust is small and voluntary, with no overheads, but achieving enormous goals since forming four years ago.
The trust is the only UK charity dedicated to raising funding for medical research into the incurable children's disease called Lowe Syndrome - sadly life expectancy is short.
The evening will be themed "The Black & White Charity Ball", an Exclusive Preview of the Tony Hadley/Martin Fry 2005 Tour with the Fabbagirls who will perform a host of Abba songs. Jonathan Ross is a Trustee and Tony Hadley, Tom Conti, Richard Park, Jono Coleman and Penny Lancaster are all Patrons.
To date the Trust has set up a UK Scientific Advisory Board of eminent professors of medicine and awarded four UK medical research grants to Great Ormond Street, University College London, Imperial College and Dundee University. The Trust has also contributed funding to three USA projects.
The children are loving, affectionate, happy children in spite of the horrendous features of the disease - blindness, seizures, arthritis and much more.
