The London Basketball League promotes and supports basketball in London.
The league is organising a development division with teams from deprived groups - and would like to have a sponsor in order to apply for funding to Sportsmatch. Sportsmatch would match the original sum. The estimated cost of such a division is around £8,000 per season, which would cover court hire, referees, equipment (basketballs, clocks), advertising, stationery and trophies.
The participants are from deprived backgrounds and would not be able to pay the full cost. There is potential for a private sponsor to advertise all over London and have access to a long list of community media, say the organisation.
