V24 POWERBOATS CAN MAKE WAVES ON THE WATER AND IN THE MEDIA

V24 is changing the face of offshore powerboating. As one design class, no alterations can be made to the stylish V24 race boat nor its 5.7l standard Volvo production engine. This new class has been designed to ensure that the best team wins and not the one with the biggest budget. 2003 (its first season) saw seven boats taking part in fast (72mph plus), close (just seconds between the first three boats), highly competitive racing. The boats look superb, sound fantastic and produce superb racing. The courses are close to the shore and complete with chicanes and tight turns to test driver skill and provide thrilling action. During the 2003 season the V24 Offshore Powerboat series achieved no less than 48.5 minutes of TV coverage and over 2000 column cms. of national and regional media coverage, they tell us. They are now looking for a major sponsor to maximise the potential of the V24 series. The V24s have the 'wow' factor. Sponsorship can take the form of series sponsor, event sponsor, boat sponsor or utilising V24 for the sponsor's own corporate hospitality days. At least ten V24 boats will start the 2004 season and interest is growing constantly. New V24s cost from £36,000 plus vat, tow behind the family car and a season's racing will cost around £6,000 per team - a relatively inexpensive entry to powerboat racing. The 2004 season will see a five race UK-based V24 series and discussions are underway with regard to holding some events in Europe as well. The V24 series is new and flexible. The organisation will build a series to meet your marketing requirements, its aim being to find a sponsorship partner with as much enthusiasm as they have to fully utilise the potential of the V24 series.
