The introduction of the Scottish Saltires to the National Cricket League has been acknowledged by the ECB as having "contributed to the growing success of the ECB's most televised domestic competition". In the 2003 season, Indian test star Rahul Dravid was one of the overseas players for the Saltires.
In 2004, Scotland will participate in the ICC Six Nations Challenge, with the chance to qualify for the Champions Trophy in September. The Scotland U19 team will play in the Youth World Cup in February 2004.
