COOKRIDGE CRICKET CLUB'S AMBITIONS KNOW NO BOUNDARIES
Cookridge Cricket Club began life back in 1933. The club is situated in north west Leeds and runs three senior teams, two in the Leeds West Riding League and one in the Dales Council.
The club joined the Dales Council in 1988, gaining promotion at the first attempt. A cup and league double followed in 1990. The club expanded to three teams in the Dales Council before applying to join the Leeds League in 1991. It is now running two teams in both the Leeds League and Dales Council.
In order to take the club further the club has formed a partnership with a new junior football club - aptly named Cookridge Juniors. They are to develop part of the ground into a football pitch and run both an U12 and U13 team in the Harrogate and District League. It is hoped that this will enable the club to eventually improve the facilities further for both cricketers and footballers alike.
Sponsorship support is sought to further expand the club's development and facilities.
