The company was established by performer-writer Carran Waterfield in 1988. Under her artistic direction, the company has been making cutting-edge performance work, with award-winning productions firmly based on personal stories, some of which are rooted in the city of Coventry. The universal resonance of these stories has ensured that this work has been presented in such diverse places as Europe, Russia and Asia.
The company is well-respected for its inspirational education work having been company in residence at The University of Warwick between 1995 and 2001. Since November 2001, Triangle has been company in residence at Coventry's Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, where it is engaged in performance and interactive projects for a period of three years.
