Rising British Showjumping star Hannah Westdorp looks all set to make the grade if she can find a sponsor
Hannah Westdorp is a 15-year-old junior rider, registered with British Showjumping.
"I am writing to you regarding an opportunity for your company to sponsor me in furthering my show jumping career. I've been a British Showjumping member since 29th February this year and have been jumping since April with my pony Saltare Hugo, a 145cm Welsh x Quantock.
"When we bought Hugo in March 2014 he was very overweight, unschooled and had never jumped before. Since I've had him we have had regular training with Yvonne Thompson, who was a Grade A showjumper in Zimbabwe for over twenty-five years, and has trained hundreds of young riders, of which a substantial few went on to be very prestigious in their fields.
"In four months of jumping with BSJ, we have been in the top three placings at most of our events, and have recently qualified for the National Pony Bronze League Final, which takes place at Stoneleigh Park in August. We have also qualified for the Bamburgh Novice Masters Championship at Scope festival this August, and have got through to the Second Rounds of the Pony British Novice Championships for 2016.
"Hugo is currently about 30 points away from moving up a grade from JD to JC. I am so very proud of what we have achieved in such a short time.
"I have always contributed to the expense of living my dream by doing yard duties and exercising horses in exchange for livery and training; but I have reached my limit as to how much I can personally help with the rising cost of transport, competition entry fees, vet bills, extra feed and supplements, rugs, clothing, shoeing, etc. Sponsorship would be an enormous help and enable me to continue success within British Showjumping".
