Character-driven documentary from Monsterfeet offers massive TV opportunities as it tracks all-female team in Dakar-style rally

Monsterfeet Media Ltd is currently producing a six-part TV series that will be broadcast on BT Sport in 2016.

The show is about four girls and their journey from training for, to completion of, the Rallye Aicha des Gazelles - the only all female Dakar-style rally in the world.

It is the first time the UK has ever entered a team in what is one of the hardest endurance rally events.

Watch the Season 1 teaser ...

"The two teams will be trained by top sporting legends such as nine times WRC Sebastien Loeb, WRC and WRX champion Petter Solberg, Sabine Schmitz of Nurburgring fame, top explorer Alex Flynn, top Mind and Performance Coach Emiliano Ventura and many more", explains Head of Production Alexandra Legouix.

"As part of the show, there will be a nationwide competition with a tough physical and mental bootcamp process to select two of the females.

"One guaranteed driver joining me will be the extremely inspirational Radio 1 and BT Sport presenter Claira Hermet. Claira rose to fame recently having had the radical step of preventative surgery in the form of a double mastectomy after her mother and sister both died from breast cancer. This is an inspiring, character-driven documentary show with massive highs and lows".
