The benefits of opportunities offered by the ambitious UK Dodgeball Association will be unavoidable
The UK Dodgeball Association (UKDBA) is the National Governing Body of Dodgeball in the UK.
The UKDBA is responsible for the development, delivery and promotion of the sport of Dodgeball throughout the UK. Adult competitive dodgeball presents an exciting opportunity for sponsors to get involved in this thrilling new sport.
The UKDBA holds a Dodgeball Six Nations tournament every year, for the national teams from England, France, Ireland, N. Ireland, Scotland and Wales and annually in August these teams also compete in the European Dodgeball Championships, involving fourteen nations, where England Lions are the reigning champions.
Also, there is an English Dodgeball Premier League (DPL) for the top ten club teams in the country - and from 2014 there will also be a 10-team Women's DPL. There are also sponsorship opportunities at the Open tournaments, Club Cup tournaments, the University Championships and the Annual UK Dodgeball Championships, the UKDBA's flagship event.
The UKDBA has set ambitious targets for the future that will see the widespread growth of Dodgeball across all age groups. The Association holds coaching courses throughout the year to educate sports coaches and raise the profile of dodgeball as a sport.
UKDBA works with Youth Sports Trust and Mencap to promote dodgeball to all people of all ages and abilities. Dodgeball has many advantages over other sports, but perhaps its key differentiators are its absolute accessibility and inclusivity. It is played across the world by people of all ages, sexes and sporting abilities.
It is very simple to learn, and 'everyone' has the ability to get involved as part of a team.
