Producers of hard-hitting new play Girl Gangs invite sponsors to join up with them

Girl Gangs delves fearlessly beneath the surface of media-fuelled preconceptions. It reveals the complexites behind the rising death toll related to gang culture in the UK.

Based on true life, the play follows two young inner city girls. One is born into gang life through an unfortunate fate. The second undergoes a very disturbing initiation hoping for safety and status.

Research for the play is being drawn from interviews and workshops with young people, gang members, ex-gang members, victims and MPs. This is supported by media sources such as documentaries, articles and surveys.

The production is being written by an award winning writer, giving artists, ex-offenders and offenders a chance to collaborate in the creative process and give space to the often unheard voices of our younger generations.
