188BET agrees 50-race sponsorship with Jockey Club Racecourses
188BET, one of British Racing's Authorised Betting Partners, is the new sponsor of the Grade 2 Old Roan Chase at Aintree in October, Grade 2 Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter in November and next Saturday's Prelude Hurdle at Market Rasen, Jockey Club Racecourses has announced.
The leading online bookmaker has agreed a package of fifty race sponsorships across Jockey Club Racecourses from this month through until January 2017, with twenty-five run at Exeter and another twenty-five spread around The Jockey Club's racecourse group.
The new sponsorship agreement sees 188BET sponsor the whole card for Market Rasen's Channel 4-televised 188BET Prelude Hurdle Day on Saturday, 24th September - worth £118,400 to connections and featuring the £50,000 188BET Prelude Handicap Chase (Listed) and £35,000 188BET.co.uk Prelude Handicap Hurdle (Listed).
Aintree's 188BET Old Roan Chase will be run on Sunday, 23rd October as the feature race on Countryside Day at the course. The Grade 2 Limited Handicap featured four horses rated above 150 last year, including winner Sound Investment and the previous year's winner, Wishfull Thinking.
Exeter's 188BET Haldon Gold Cup will be run on Tuesday, 1st November as the feature race of Haldon Gold Cup Day. Last year's winner, Vibrato Valtat, was one of four horses in the race rated above 150, including multiple Grade 1 winner Sire De Grugy and the previous year's winner, God's Own.
