Studio - film mag. for women - sponsors fourth Underwire film festival party
On Tuesday 19th November, STUDIO - Britain's first film magazine aimed at a female audience - will be sponsoring the fourth Annual Underwire Film Festival Opening Night Party.
Launched as a digital magazine in 2010, the monthly title, aimed at women between the ages of eighteen and thirty-five who are enthusiastic about Hollywood film and entertainment, ran as an innovative publication available on a variety of tablet devices, before ending its digital editions to go online-only at studiomagonline.com.
Now in its third year, STUDIO joins Underwire in the efforts to inspire and celebrate women from all backgrounds and disciplines, in the hope to create a greater diversity of perspective within the film industry.
Louise Robina Happé, Founder and Editor In Chief, commented: "We've gone from strength to strength with this female film magazine, and I am very pleased to have seen the emergence of so many other female focused projects and festivals supporting women, both in front of and behind the camera.
"STUDIO was born as a publication that would encapsulate everything that a female film fan such as myself, and thousands of others, would want. And while digital is continuing to prove that it is the way forward, we are extremely excited to support a film festival in the flesh and help to inspire and encourage women in the UK to showcase their work on a bigger platform".
Louise's family has film in their blood – her grandfather, Bernard Happé, was Technical Director of Technicolor Ltd UK and was also a founding member of BKSTS, the British Kinematograph Sound and Television Society.
STUDIO will be supporting the Underwire Film Festival on 19th November, 2013 by sponsoring the Opening Night Party, hosted at The Yard Theatre in Hackney Wick.
