London Jazz Festival launches 21st birthday programme with new sponsor
London Jazz Festival has announced that global private banking group EFG International is becoming its new headline sponsor, with a three-year sponsorship in place.
EFG has been supporting the festival since 2008, when it came on board to create the EFG International Excellence Series, an annual programme of major concerts from some of the leading lights in jazz, now well established as a highlight of the festival.
EFG is the Private Bank for Jazz and has a worldwide relationship with the music. The EFG London Jazz Festival is the centrepiece of this commitment, and this crucial support, say the organisers, will enable the festival to realise its artistic ambitions in this, its 21st year, and beyond.
"For the last four years, EFG International has been a proud supporter of the London Jazz Festival, and through the Excellence Series has been associated with some of the world's finest musicians in one of the world's great cities. The London Jazz Festival is always a landmark event. In terms of the quality, creativity and sheer diversity of the musical performances it brings to the stage, it surely ranks as one of the foremost international music festivals", said Keith Gapp, Head of Strategy and Marketing, EFG.
"Given this, and people's passion for music, we are pleased to be stepping up our support - making this year’s event, for the first time, the EFG London Jazz Festival. Here's to a lot more incredible live jazz!"
The capital's biggest pan-city music festival takes place this year from Friday, 15th to Sunday, 24th November. The festival has long been acclaimed for delivering world-class artists and emerging stars. It continues to take jazz to a massive audience, in one of the UK's landmark music celebrations.
