Unibet becomes Royal Windsor's Official Betting Partner
Online bookmaker Unibet has today announced an all-encompassing betting and gaming partnership with Royal Windsor Racecourse for the forthcoming (2014) flat season.
The sponsorship will see the multi award winning sportsbook sponsor over twenty races at the Berkshire track and be ever present on the course throughout the year, under a substantial racecourse branding initiative.
Unibet will not only become the Official Betting and Gaming Partner to Royal Windsor - the leading European online bookmaker will also sponsor Windsor's Owners, Trainers and Jockeys championship.
Unibet, founded in 1997 and listed on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm, is one of the largest listed gambling operators in the European market and provides services in twenty-two languages, with 8.6 million customers in over 150 countries. The company recently relaunched into the UK with a £3 million marketing campaign in May 2013 through its armchair expert integrated marketing campaign. In year one its ambassadors were Sir Ian Botham, Gavin Hastings and Goran Ivanisevic.
Unibet has offered a UK and Irish racing betting product since June 2013, and recently improved its offering in January 2014; during the last three months, Unibet has seen a record number of depositing customers, racing turnover and active player levels, and this trend seems set to continue as it develops its racing offering and enters into even more marketing partnerships during the year.
The multi-award winning bookmaker (Unibet recently won the 2014 Online Sportsbook Operator of the Year Award at the International Gaming Awards) will be running numerous promotions and customer experiences to ensure visitors to Royal Windsor benefit from the recently signed partnership, as well as holding a special staff day for all their 200 Wimbledon employees, where they will be joined by their armchair experts.
The relationship kicks off on the afternoon of April 7th and ends on 31st December, although the final race day is Monday, 20th October. The partnership forms part of Unibet's integrated racing marketing strategy and follows the launch of their acclaimed racing product.
