Thames Motor Group scores in sponsorship deal with the Football League
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, the world's seventh-largest automaker, has joined forces with the Football League in a national deal that will see the vehicle manufacturer supply the governing body with a variety of brand new cars over the coming months.
The first fleet of vehicles has already been presented to the Football League, courtesy of Kent-based Thames Motor Group, a family-run business with dealerships in Tunbridge Wells in Kent and Slough, Berkshire.
The handover took place on April 27th and saw the keys for sixteen Jeeps, two Alfa Romeos and two Fiat 500X models handed over to representatives from the sporting organisation.
Thames Motor Group, said: "We're delighted to be working in partnership with the Football League as part of this national sponsorship deal through Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
"The first batch of vehicles has already changed hands and we're sure the league competition's governing body is getting some good use out of them already."
Founded in 1888, the Football League represents seventy-two member clubs and is the largest single body of professional clubs operating in European football. It is responsible for administering and regulating competitions including the Football League, Capital One Cup and Johnstone's Paint Trophy, as well as reserve and youth football leagues.
Thames Motor Group was established in Kent in 1971 and remains a family-owned business.
The firm's dealerships in Slough and Tunbridge Wells sell a wide variety of vehicles from manufacturers including Chrysler Jeep, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Abarth, Citroen and Peugeot.
