The Co-operative Funeralcare extends bowls sponsorship

The English Indoor Bowling Association Ltd (EIBA) has announced that The Co-operative Funeralcare has extended its Title Sponsorship of the Men's and Ladies Test Matches versus Scotland.

The matches are due to take place in October and November, 2014. In addition there will be a Mixed Test Match versus Wales in September 2014.

The Co-operative Funeralcare Test Matches will see England play Wales and Scotland in a two-day Series of Triples, Pairs and Singles matches at Stanley Indoor Bowls Centre, County Durham.

The full schedule is:

England v Wales (mixed), Saturday, 13th and Sunday, 14th September

England v Scotland (men's), Saturday, 18th and Sunday, 19th October

England v Scotland (ladies), Saturday, 1st and Sunday, 2nd November.

In announcing the extension, Peter Thompson, Chief Executive, of the EIBA, said: "To secure The Co-operative Funeralcare again as Title Sponsor of our Test Matches is a major boost to the Association.

"They continue to be valuable supporters of bowls at local and national level and we are looking forward to developing this support at international level".

John Taylor, National Community Manager, of The Co-operative Funeralcare, was equally upbeat: "We are delighted to continue our association with the EIBA and sponsor these three major events in the Association's calendar.

"Our funeral homes have been supporting bowls at grass roots level across the UK for several years and our commitment and passion for this sport has grown considerably with our continued support for prestigious bowling competitions".
