Law Society chooses CLIC Sargent as its charity of the year
The Law Society of Northern Ireland will be helping to raise vital funds for children and young people with cancer, as the Society has announced that CLIC Sargent will be its chosen charity of the year for 2016.
The Law Society of Northern Ireland is a professional body which has the authority to discipline, educate and regulate practising solicitors in Northern Ireland.
John Guerin, president of the Law Society, met with CLIC Sargent Area Fundraising Manager Nadine Campbell at the launch of the new charity partnership.
He said: "CLIC Sargent is the UK's leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families. They provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help them cope with cancer and get the most out of life.
"I am delighted as president of the Law Society that we will have an opportunity to work with CLIC Sargent by supporting them in their various projects through awareness and fundraising initiatives".
