Teachers Assurance signs deal to sponsor prestigious Times Education School Awards 2013
The TES Schools Awards are now in their fifth year, and are designed to celebrate those schools, individuals and teams whose dedication, innovation and hard work make a real difference for both their pupils and communities.
The awards are to be held on the 5th July in Westminster, with categories such as Inspirational Teacher of the Year, Special Needs School of the Year, Overall School of the Year and the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award all up for grabs.
Abby Bowman, Head of Brand at Teachers Assurance, said of the awards: "We're over the moon to be sponsoring the Lifetime Achievement prize at this year's TES Schools Awards. As a company we're committed to excellence in teaching and have been working alongside teachers since 1877, which is why these awards seemed the perfect choice for us.
"We feel proud to be sponsoring the Lifetime Achievement Award and can't wait to honour the hard work and dedication of those nominated. As an organisation we endeavour to support teachers throughout the life stages of their career, and so it is a pleasure to recognise teachers in this way".
This year marks the financial services provider's first involvement with the worthy awards, having selected to sponsor the coveted Lifetime Achievement prize. The Lifetime Achievement Award itself is aimed at celebrating and rewarding someone who has given their life to education, and could be gifted to a well-known education figurehead or to an 'unsung hero' within the industry.
Duncan Verry, Display and Events Director at the TES, expressed his thanks to Teachers Assurance for sponsoring the Lifetime Acheivement Award. "We're very pleased that organisations like Teachers Assurance show such support and commitment to the education sector. The dedication and teamwork found in UK schools really is worth celebrating, and we're delighted to work with organisations that understand this".
