World Vision launches widget to improve sponsorship response online

Leading international aid, advocacy and development agency, World Vision, has unveiled its latest online development in the shape of a widget. Developed by their incumbent search engine optimisation and social media agency, iCrossing, the widget is built with a combination of both JavaScript and HTML aimed at improving the charity's natural search visibility. The widget pulls in news feeds from the www.worldvision.org.uk site and has a browser featuring one of the children in some of the world's poorest countries where the charity works, who needs to be sponsored, and a link, which then takes the visitor to the website where they are able to go through the process of sponsoring that specific child. There are also a series of tabs, which highlight World Vision campaigns against injustice and promote child rights.
