npower's Grand Designs for hometeam at the NEC show

npower hometeam is the main sponsor of this year's Grand Designs Live - which is taking place at the NEC in Birmingham between 10th and 12th October.

Visitors to the npower stands will be encouraged to be 'as green as they want to be' - and the npower team will be showing them ways to save money and the environment, with energy efficiency advice that works for them.

npower hometeam will also be launching a package of boiler installation and free insulation that could save customers over £500 a year on their energy bills, as well as reducing their carbon footprint.

Carmel Nolan, marketing sales manager at npower, explains: "hometeam will be rolling out the red carpet for visitors to the show, as they do in homes up and down the country every day, providing a first class service in boiler installation and maintenance.

"At a time when other companies are reducing their commitment in this area, we recognise that customers

are looking for ways to save energy - and having your boiler serviced is a great way to start."

"The Government has committed to all new homes being carbon neutral by 2016, but at Grand Designs we're showing visitors that you don't need to build a brand new eco house to improve your carbon credentials."

Renewable

Alongside 500 other exhibitors, npower will also be showcasing its newest green product, National Trust Green Energy. npower has been working in partnership with the National Trust for over a year and offers a 100% renewable electricity product that comes at no extra cost.

For every customer that switches to National Trust Green Energy, npower donates £15 to help develop renewable energy and other carbon saving projects at National Trust sites.

Billed as the number one consumer exhibition for design and innovation, the show is based on the hugely successful Channel 4 series, Grand Designs, presented by design guru Kevin McCloud.
