Somerset County Cricket Club announce new shirt sponsorship deal for 2009 season
 

Somerset County Cricket Club have announced that they have a new sponsor for their four-day shirts. Online car insurance company E car will feature on the front of the Somerset championship shirts in 2009.

John Gannon, the joint founder and commercial director of Brightside Group, which is the parent company of E car, who lives within close proximity to the County Ground and is a regular visitor to the club, was upbeat about the new deal. "We are delighted to be involved with Somerset County Cricket Club in this way and look forward to the team being even more successful in the 2009 season, when our logo will be on the front of their championship shirts." Partnership Somerset chief executive Richard Gould commented: "E car are an online insurance company in addition to which they run a number of other insurance companies within the group.
